About Provisioning
|
Intercompany circuits are ordered through the ASR
(Access Service Request) process. The ASR is a set of standardized industry
forms used by all exchange providers to provision circuits between carriers. The
ASR is written in the standard code format, published by ATIS in the ASOG
(Access Service Ordering Guidelines). While most of the ASR codes used are
standard for all companies, there are some codes that are company specific. An
example of this would be NC and NCI codes. |

- Go to ATIS, click on the document center. Enter ASOG in
the document name field and choose guidelines from the drop down box in the

- Your company must provide BackUP with permission to access the ASR
provisioning system for each LEC that you interconnect with. If your company
also has it's own database, which you use to track orders and circuit
assignments it is helpful to have access to this database as well.
