About
ASR Training
|
Anyone can fill in blanks on an
ASR order form, but not just anyone can fill in
the right blanks with the right information! if
you're guessing at what to put in a field, you're
likely to end up getting the wrong type of service
installed or be billed incorrectly. ASRs have a
language all their own and the forms are not easily
understood because they are written all in
code. Even though you can look through the
ASOG (Access Service Order Guidelines) to find out
the acceptable entries and when that field is used,
its very hard for the average person to figure out
what fields to populate to order a specific type
of circuit. It is especially hard if the person
filling out the ASR is not familiar with the way
the network is structured.
BackUP Telecom has years of experience
doing ASR provisioning and can not only train you
on the basics of what each field means and when
its used. BackUP can also teach you:
|
|
 |
- Types
of products you can order via ASR.
- How
the network is structured.
- How
to figure out which forms to use
- How
the basic codes are formatted so you can easily
tell what it stands for.
- How
the codes are linked together.
- Where
to find the codes that vary from LEC to LEC (such
as ICSC, NC and SPEC) .
- Where
to go to find order samples, technical documentation,
and ordering guides.
- How
to read the CNRs, FOCs, and DLRs.
- How
to deal with errors effectively.
- What
and how to document so that its easier to write
disconnect and augment orders in the future.
